The 13th Hua Hin International Cricket Sixes will take place from April 14-18 at the pleasant grounds of the Dusit Resort and the tournament promises to be one of the most entertaining yet. A total of 17 teams are expected to participate, six in the Cup event and 11 in the Masters.
Defending their Cup title will be Hong Kong Woodbines who will be hoping to produce the same excellent form that saw them unbeaten in last year's event.
The 2007 runners-up, Thailand Colts, will be keen to go one better this year and take the title.
Also battling it out in the Cup will be Thai Thevada, Globetrotters, MCC (Melbourne) Red and Commonwealth.
There will be a strong Australian influence in the Masters with MCC White, Canterbury CC, Brett's Follies, The Longnecks and Cluden who will be fielding two teams.
Keeping the Thai flag flying will be Thai Masters along with the redoubtable Parrot Masters who are also the defending Masters champions. Hosts Hua Hin are hoping to field three teams.
Among the visitors will be Victoria's exciting left-arm fast bowler Dirk Nannes
The tournament will also feature a new wicket which has been sponsored by the MCC in London.
It will be a special occasion for joint organiser Tom Karnasuta who will have played in all 13 Hua Hin tournaments. Joining him on lucky 13 will be all-rounder David Curry and Hua Hin's Colin Devonshire.
The tournament would not be possible without the sponsors who include the Dusit Resort, TAT, UOBAM and Mitr Phol Sugar.
